n140 and linux

Post by martenn »

Hi,

I'm interested in installing linux on my brand new n140. I've used Ubuntu for a year on another machine (ThinkPad R61), so this OS it's not a problem for me. I've also used a netbook (MSi Wind) for a few months. The main issue is that I would like to combine n140 with ubuntu. I know that n140 has great battery performance on Win XP, how does it look like on ubuntu?

Regards

By default it gives me about 3 to 4 hrs on an 80% charged battery(Set through bios settings). The settings are said to extend the battery life if I am always plugged in. I am finding some other ways to prolong usage between charging though.
