Hi,
Have been looking all through the forum for last 3 days (currently no internet in my apartment - spending 3 hours a day in starbucks :() trying to figure out how to get the FN-up and FN-down keys to work adjusting my backlight. Just found a thread where someone was asked to post the results of

Code: Select all

lspci -nn
sudo dmidecode -s system-product-name
so that a fix could be made for this problem on their specific model. So here are my results:

Code: Select all

Never mind, working after a full upgrade - thought I did this yesterday but apparently something went wrong. The only remaining problem is that the backlight occasionally starts rapidly switching between the 1st and 2nd brightness settings until another hotkey is pressed (e.g. volume up). This seems to happen soon after start-up but has also happened during a session. Anyone else had this problem? Thanks.
