I installed Xubuntu (ubuntu with XFCE) on my netbook samsung nf310 and I have a little problem.. I can ajust the brightness level only to 0 and 7, I can't have other level :(

Hi Ravi,

well, i don't really see the problem, it's the same thing for me.

Even with Windows, you've got eight brightness levels (at computer boot too)

The only solution would be to modify the brightness level scale but i don't know how and if it's possible or not. Run some searches about that ;)

Regards.

Hi, thanks for your anser :)
I think level 0 is over dark and level 7 is over bright... I need an intermediary level like 4 or 5 :S

I had exactly the same problem, also on a NF310 and Xubuntu. The solution on this post solved it : http://www.voria.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4750#p4750
