KDE Desktop Effects do not work in Kubuntu Natty (N150)

Post by lorebett »

Hi

I've just upgraded my Samsung N150 from Kubuntu Maverik to Kubuntu Natty; KDE Desktop effects used to work in Maverik... now, in Natty, KDE starts with Desktop Effects enables and they seem to work... but as soon as you try to use the KDE Panel effects are automatically disabled since they take too much to respond...

anyone else experiencing this?

thanks in advance

Go to 'System Settings'->'Desktop Effects' and disable the 'Blur' effect, this should fix the problem. :)

actually I've managed to solve the problem by going in the "Advanced" tab and by using Xrender as the composite type... but I'll try your solution as well
