Yeah... no WPA2 support apparently :/ i can only use the universitys unsecured wifi with webauth so far :/

but the interface is perfect... i hope everything will work for the final release...

i also dont like it that they only show how moch % of battery is left, not how much time... and ntp did not work, so it displayed the wrong time :D

and i had to click a bit too much... for example when i start the browser i have to klick browser > klick address bar > type in adress > notice that it loaded a chrome:// adress > klick it again > type adress > enter :/

Hi all,

I start to play with the last version of Moblin 2.0 (version of the 24 september 2009) on my NC10.
Feedbacks after 3 hours :

The good :
Very simple and fast to install (less than 10 minutes)
Wifi works (WPA2 with hidden network)
Key USB works
Fast boot time (incredible !)
Sleep mode ok (and very very fast to restart)
Sound OK
Touchpad OK

The bad :
Brightness of screen not modifiable
Multi-touch seems to do something (strange things happens) but I don't know how to configure it...

Non tested :
Fn Key not tested (stiil looking for defining them)
Head phone
Bluetooth
...

My first impression :
Funny interface, good for people who use the NC10 for communication with other (Chat, mail, twitter...) and don't want to mess with technical aspects : Ideal for my wife who doesn't care of linux things, she just wannt to surf (no use of bookmarks), some mails and chat and watch divx...
For me (more used with "classic linux" interface), I'm a bit lost. Few parameters, i'm still looking in the web browser for basic things like (bookmark, how adding plugin, default page...), adding icons or basic things like that, defining some keywords for shortcut in order to not always use the touchpad...
Few available package (there is an application for downloading package, DRM) for the Moblin interface, perhaps there are other way but I didn't see them.

I will continue to play with it and give you more details.

There are another ways to use the Moblin UI without any problems:

1) Installing the Ubuntu Moblin Remix
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UMR

2) Installing Fedora 12 and then activate the moblin desktop or using Fedora Moblin Beta 5 live cd
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/FedoraMoblin

I've not yet installed neither of this ones but i will try and i will give you my comments and reccomendations.
