Somehow I forgot to post this until now...
Using the
"Droid" fonts on the small screen of our NC10s looks nice and allows more characters to fit. They have been designed for the smaller screens of portable Android devices and are easily installable on Jaunty.
A nice writeup is at
Get Android’s fonts on Ubuntu [HOW TO] , but basically for Jaunty it boils down to
with Universe repositories enabled.
I like a size of 9 using font config better, and also use "DejaVu Sans Mono Book" instead of "Droid Mono Sans" as this is more condensed, but then tastes are different

Just tried: a very nice font, clean and readable even at small sizes. My new favourite font, thanks.
