NB30 resolution problem

Post by brill »

Hello everyone,

New to the forum :)
I have purchased a Samsung NB30 and installed backtrack linux. I can only get 800x600 resolution cannot get 1024x600. Does anyone have a xorg.conf that will work with the NB30 to support 1024x600 screen resolution.
many thanks,
brill

Hi,
Any ideas? I tried using xrandr but had problems. Is the Intel Pineview chipset even supported for 1024x600, maybe virtual screen ? Any help greatly apprecaited :)

I can't be of much help here, I'm sorry. :(

Anyway, since backtrack is based on the old ubuntu intrepid, the problem is perhaps related to the old intel graphics driver in use (I remember of similar problems when I used intrepid).
I think there is no fast and easy solutions for this, since the intel driver has changed a lot in the meanwhile, I think a newer version will not work at all on backtrack. :(
